Recommendations! It is always great when you know someone who really likes their guitar teacher. I know, obvious:)
Thumbtack.com is by far one of the best online sites to find local guitar teachers with reviews. I am a teacher on this platform and it has connected me to so many student's looking for a good teacher.
Guitar Center is another good resource for lessons. There is one right off van ness street near Nob Hill.
Note: make sure they have good reviews and ask for a free trial lesson so that you can get the feel for their style and if you have a connection.
